The North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS) selected Greenlight Ventures, led by CTO Reynold Yordy, to design and build the NCMS Distribution Portal for the Foundation-administered Financial Recovery Program (FRP). The objective was to automate the release of funds to hundreds of practices that applied for this funding which was allocated to the NCMS Foundation by the NC General Assembly. Through the Greenlight Ventures portal, FRP managed a massive distribution of $25 million to thousands of providers over 12 weeks.
NCMS Foundation Vice-President Franklin Walker, MBA, chose Greenlight Ventures for their ability to create and launch, in record time, a portal necessary which would accept and analyze online applications from practices. Greenlight Ventures also provides the technology that powers the NCMS Foundation’s Project OBOT and Our Community Health Initiative programs.
Greenlight Ventures and CTO Reynold Yordy are proud to be part of the enormously vital medical organizations that collaborated to make this funding possible. Working closely and responsively with the NCMS advocacy team, the NC Academy of Family Physicians, the NC Pediatric Society, the NC College of Emergency Physicians, the NC Association of Physician Assistants, the NC Obstetrics and Gynecology Society, and the NC Dermatology Association, Greenlight Ventures designed and released a software application with the necessary features to process online applications and electronically distribute the approved funds needed to assist financially strapped NC medical practices and providers.
“It was a privilege to be part of a project that provided so much assistance to our frontline health care workers,” said Mr. Yordy. He added: “By leveraging the technology we created, we were able to distribute a significant amount of much needed capital in a very short timeframe, while ensuring we could stand up to the required regulatory audits.”
